LinkedIn or the opinions of 300-500 million people. Does it matter?

LinkedIn is a special social network in that a large part of its members are real, civilized, educated and trained people who respect the rules of civilized dialogue (we exclude from the start influencers, diversionists, harassers, extremists, trolls, bots and fake accounts which unfortunately exist here too).
Members who matter have a certain identity and a visible social route and favor real dialogue (a dialogue between two pseudonyms on the Internet without a face and without a name is absurd by definition).
Finally, LinkedIn is a credible social network where people from any country can be up to date with real news from the most diverse fields respecting the rules of communication, dialogue and civilized polemics and can freely exchange opinions about the course of the world, politics, societies, culture, the international community and humanity (misinformation, diversions and fake news are taxed almost immediately).
Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I think this social network is the equivalent of the UN for civilized people in any country because it is the only platform that can play this role (the European Union should have created an equivalent, but it didn't).
The potential of this network is immense through  the huge number of members already registered and through the social network generation algorithm:

  • Registered Members (Total):  Over 1.3 billion.
  • Monthly Active Users:  Over 310 million people actively use the platform each month.
In this context, the big problem of our world is the huge divide between citizens and those who represent them at the level of their country (politicians, government, state) and at the level of the international community (UN, international institutions and organizations).
The situation is repeated periodically at the global level. Between the aspirations of the people and the actions of politicians and global institutions, there is a gap that persists and even deepens continuously.
The scene is already a classic one.  Millions of people can demonstrate in the streets against a tiny group of politicians hidden behind governments, parliaments and bureaucracy, and globally behind international institutions and organizations that do not respect their own rules of operation.

Essentially, politicians, states, governments, parliaments, institutions and international organizations proclaim the need for laws and norms on which their existence is based and which they should respect, but which they violate (UN Charter, etc.), and ordinary citizens are the only ones who pay the price for violating them, sometimes with their lives.
Finally, the second major problem of the contemporary world is the changing relationship between real space and virtual space.
The world has long become a global village in which processes, actions, tensions and wars in real space are becoming increasingly interconnected (the butterfly effect), more visible and are rapidly moving into virtual space where most decisions are already made, and the foundations of human morality are becoming optional.

The question is whether countries, societies, civilizations and the world as a whole choose the path of civilization and humanization and respect for the values of civilization and humanity or whether they enter the spiral of decivilization and dehumanization.
A simple citizen who respects the laws and norms of any civilized country cannot even get a job as a janitor at a school if he has a criminal record, but if he has criminal convictions, he can become mayor, parliamentarian, minister, or president.
The paradox that gives us chills is that the fate of entire communities, countries, continents and the entire world depends on the sneezes and whims of some people who often have a hat that is too big for their head, and this is an anomaly of history that must be resolved in the interest of humanity.
People are not equal among themselves (fortunately), but laws must be respected by everyone, not just by some.
Ultimately, beyond  politicians, states, governments, parliaments, institutions and international organizations, there is a silent majority at a global level that respects the political, legal, economic, social, cultural, religious and moral norms of their countries and through whose efforts all governments, states and international institutions function. This silent majority does not have the right to decide, but it does or should have the right to an opinion.
In this case, we are faced with a unique situation. We know what  politicians, states, governments, parliaments, institutions and international organizations want and do because they tell us so every day, but we do not know what the 300 million people who are active on LinkedIn every month want and what their aspirations are, not to mention the 500 million or even more who also have an opinion that can matter.
The challenge is fascinating. A huge human community respects the values of civilization, humanity and the foundations of human morality  exists and awaits a way to manifest itself,  unlike the politicians who have already provoked two world wars and laid the foundation for a third.
